Fitness client skipped warm-ups and tore a muscle, then sued me
This person insisted on jumping straight into heavy squats without any prep, even after I explained the risks. They pulled a hamstring on the third rep and are now taking legal action against my training business. I have all our messages where I warned them, but it's still a huge headache. What steps should I take to protect myself from clients like this?

Look at how many people threaten lawsuits versus how many actually file them. Having those warning texts is your best defense, a judge would see they ignored clear advice. Most lawyers won't touch a case this weak because it's basically their own fault. I'd bet money this blows over once they realize they have no real case.

Yeah but @janamason, I've seen folks ignore warnings and still cause a headache. Lawyers might take it just to squeeze a settlement. Courts don't always see things the same way.

Honestly those warning texts help but danielowens is right about lawyers chasing settlements.
