Can we talk about clients who ask for a 'simple logo' but want endless revisions

A client in Tampa said it would take a day, but we went through 22 versions over two months. How do you politely cap the number of changes in your contract?

Oh man, I read a blog post about this exact thing. The writer said their contract now lists a set number of revision rounds, like three, for the quoted price. Anything after that gets billed at an hourly rate. It really makes clients think before asking for tiny tweaks.

Wow, that reminds me of my buddy who does graphic design. He had this one client who kept asking for "just one more small change" for weeks. He finally added a three round limit to his contracts, and the very next client approved everything after the second round. It was like magic.

Right? That's such a SMART way to handle it. I started doing two rounds in my own contracts and it totally cuts down on the endless back-and-forth.

That hourly rate idea just sounds like more admin work to me. I'd rather just be clear from the start about what's included.
