Just realized the guy who wanted to pay me in crypto was actually the safest bet I took all year
Back in March this dude from a Discord server hits me up about a Shopify redesign, solid scope, $2,200 flat. Then he says he wants to pay in USDC and my gut says run, because every crypto guy I dealt with before ghosted me or tried to talk my rate down. I told him half up front, half on delivery, and he sent the whole thing, all $2,200, within like 20 minutes. No contract back and forth, no invoice reminders, nothing. Delivered the site 9 days later and he tipped me $150 on top. Meanwhile the last three clients who paid by old fashioned bank transfer are the ones I'm still chasing for final invoices. So now I'm wondering if I had it backwards the whole time, has anyone else had crypto payers turn out to be the easy ones?
