Spent $200 on a background check for a new customer and it paid off big time
They looked fine on paper, but the check showed a history of lawsuits for non-payment. Dodged a bullet for sure. Has anyone else used a specific service they'd recommend?

Totally agree about dodging a bullet. I had a similar thing happen and used CheckMate Pro. It flagged some old liens I never would have found myself. That two hundred bucks felt like a steal after that.

Right? Those hidden liens are no joke. It's crazy how much a small fee can save you from a huge mess later.

My buddy bought a used truck last year and found out it had a mechanic's lien for unpaid repairs. That $50 title search he skipped would have saved him three grand and a lot of screaming at the DMV.

My friend almost bought a small warehouse for his business. The property search found an old environmental fine tied to the land from like twenty years ago. The cleanup costs would have been on him, and they were huge. He walked away and just lost his inspection fee.
