Chose between a heat pump and new windows with my $8k, and man did I pick wrong
My wife and I finally had $8,000 saved up after 2 years of scrimping, and we had to pick one upgrade for our drafty 1960s house in Boise. We went with the windows because they looked nicer, but the gas bill barely moved and now the heat pump quote is $11k because prices jumped. Anyone else regret going for the pretty upgrade over the boring one?
