I used to fly to see clients, now I take Amtrak and I'm never going back
Two years ago I was hopping on a plane from Chicago to Detroit twice a month for client meetings, burning through miles and feeling guilty about the carbon every single time. I switched to the 5 hour Amtrak run in January 2023 after my boss let us expense rail instead of air, and I've done 14 trips since with way less stress and a fraction of the footprint. Does anyone else work somewhere that actually lets you pick the train over the plane, or am I just lucky?
