Burned $180 on a bootcamp that used outdated Python tutorials
Signed up for a 6 week beginner bootcamp in Austin last spring, only to find they were teaching Python 2 syntax and told us to use an IDE from 2015. I quit after week 3 when I found free resources online that were 10 times clearer. Has anyone else wasted cash on a course that was basically recycling old YouTube content?

Oh man, my buddy dropped almost $300 on a "data science" course that turned out to be some guy reading off slides from a 2017 tutorial. He was so mad when he found the same stuff free on YouTube in like an afternoon. Did you try asking for a refund at all?

I read a piece last year saying most online course refunds only happen if you ask within a set window, like 14 or 30 days, and past that you are pretty much stuck. Worth checking the terms and the date he bought it, since some sites will still give you credit even if cash is off the table. Take that with a grain of salt though, rules vary a lot from site to site.
