I finally tried grinding my beans right before brewing instead of using pre-ground

The flavor difference after just one week was huge, way more bright and less bitter (I use a basic hand grinder). Anyone have a good trick for making the grinding part less of a morning chore?

Try grinding the night before and storing it in a small airtight jar. I do that when I'm running late, and the drop in quality is tiny compared to using week old pre ground. My trick is putting the grinder right next to the coffee maker so I can't ignore it.

Picture my grinder sitting right on the counter, staring at me every morning like a judgmental pet. I tried your jar trick once, but then I just moved the whole problem to the night before. Now I have a sad little jar of grounds and a grinder giving me side-eye from across the kitchen. It's a whole new level of coffee guilt.

You know, I used to be a total snob about grinding right before brewing. But honestly, what changed my mind was just being tired. I started grinding a whole day's worth into a little container. The coffee is still way better than the pre-ground stuff I used to buy. It got me to actually make coffee instead of skipping it. I mean, a good routine you actually do beats a perfect one you never start, right?

Yeah that "good routine you actually do" line is so true. I mean I got stuck on the idea of perfect fresh grounds for ages and it just made mornings harder. Now I grind enough for three days into a mason jar and keep it in a dark cupboard. It's not the absolute best cup but it's still mine, and I actually drink it. Idk maybe it's just me but letting go of that tiny bit of quality for way more consistency was a game changer.
