Just realized I've been storing my beans wrong for 10 years
I always kept my coffee beans in the freezer like my grandma did. Then a roaster at a shop in Portland told me that's terrible for them. Moisture and temp changes ruin the oils. He showed me his setup - just an airtight ceramic jar in a dark cabinet. I switched two weeks ago and my morning cup actually tastes better now. Less bitter, more flavor. How do you store your beans?

Ain't that the truth. Unlearning grandma's ways is always the hardest lol.

Wait, @fionanguyen what was the one thing your grandma made that you just can't get right no matter how you try? I've been trying to recreate my own grandma's banana bread for years but something always comes out off. Just curious if it's a seasoning thing or a technique thing.
