My $40 cold brew tower experiment was a total flop

I thought the fancy glass setup would be a game changer, but the coffee it made was just okay, and cleaning all those tiny parts took forever. Honestly, a mason jar and a filter bag works better and costs about five bucks. Anyone have a cold brew method that's actually worth the extra effort?

Watched my buddy go down that same road last summer. He bought this intricate copper drip tower thing, looked like a science project. After a week of fiddling with water drip rates and clogged filters, he went back to just soaking grounds in a big jug overnight. Said the difference wasn't worth the hassle at all.

My own coffee journey peaked with a scale and a timer. Measured to the gram, water exactly 205 degrees. Tasted the same as my old spoon-and-guess method. Now I just eyeball it into a mug like a caveman.

A copper drip tower? Your friend must have way more patience than me. I get annoyed just looking at my regular coffee maker.
