Did the math on decompression stops and it blew my mind
I was reading through some old Navy dive tables last night, and I found something that really made me stop. The difference between a 30 minute bottom time at 100 feet and 40 minutes is like double the deco time. I always knew it was exponential but seeing the actual numbers on paper was wild. I got the tables from a buddy who dives for NOAA. Has anyone else looked at the old school tables vs the computer calculations and noticed big gaps?

Blowing my mind" is right. I swear the jump from 30 to 40 is where the real danger zone starts.

Right there with you on the "danger zone" thing. I hit 35 and suddenly my body started making noises every time I stood up. It's like your warranty expires or something. I used to bounce back from a late night in like an hour, now I need a full recovery day. And don't even get me started on hangovers - they last three days now instead of just the morning after. Makes you wonder what kind of nonsense our bodies are pulling at 50, right?
