Serious question, did a harbor seal really steal my dive light in Monterey last Tuesday?
I set it down on the rock for maybe 20 seconds to untangle a line and it was gone, then this seal pops up 10 feet away with something yellow in its mouth. Do they always go for the shiny stuff or was this one just messing with me?

Are you sure it wasn't just a gull that grabbed it?
