Label maker fixed a 20 year old server mystery for me

Had a client call about a server that kept dropping off the network at random times, usually around 3pm on Tuesdays. Replaced the NIC, checked the switch, even swapped cables twice over 6 weeks. Turns out the building janitor was unplugging it to run a floor buffer, and the port looked identical to the one next to it. I printed a big label that said DO NOT TOUCH and stuck it right above the port. Two months now with zero drops, has anyone else had helpful staff undo your work without realizing it?

Wait, is a janitor really the guy causing all this mess, or is that just the story you're going with now? I mean, floor buffers don't usually line up with a specific port like that unless they're hitting it on purpose every week. Honestly, a label seems like a band-aid when you could've just moved the server to a locked room and ended the whole thing in an afternoon.
