Hit 1500 square feet of flatwork in one day last summer, floored me

I been finishing concrete for about 8 years now, mostly driveways and patios. Last July I had a big job near Austin, a 1500 square foot slab for a new garage. I figured it would take two full days with a three man crew. We got it all poured, screeded, and floated in around 10 hours straight. I was so beat after, but I couldn't believe we actually pulled it off without any cold joints. What's the biggest pour you guys have done in a single day without extra help?

Nah man I gotta call that out a little, 1500 in 10 hours with three guys isn't that wild if you're talking about a basic garage slab with no tricky grading or forms. I've done 1800 with two guys in a hot day and we still walked away for dinner. Don't get me wrong it's a good day's work but you're acting like it's some record when a lot of us do that kind of square footage before lunch.

Get where you're coming from but I mean a garage slab still has its own headaches like making sure the gravel's packed right and the mesh is all tied in before the truck shows up. Idk, maybe I just work slower but 1500 in a day with three guys sounds solid enough to me.

Ehh, 1800 with two guys? Gonna call BS on that one unless the mix was perfect and the truck was steps away.
