I finally got the slab level in my garage after two days of fighting it
Had a pour for a garage floor in Eugene last week, and the mix was way too wet from the plant. Started bull floating and it just kept sinking in the middle, like a bowl. Spent the first day just trying to get it to hold shape, then came back at dawn to finish. What should have been a one day job turned into a 48 hour marathon with extra trowel passes. Anyone else deal with a bad batch that just would not set up right?

Yeah, a wet mix like that is a total nightmare to finish.

Man, that sinking feeling is the worst. Had a patio pour last summer that did the same thing. Just kept weeping water, like @kevin_williams said, a total mess. We ended up throwing down bags of dry portland cement just to soak it up. Left these weird light spots we had to stain later. Boss was furious at the plant.
