Serious question, I used to let concrete dry out right after pouring, but now I wet cure it for days.
It makes the slab way stronger and cuts down on cracks, which saves me headaches later on.

Totally changed my method after seeing the same thing. Let a driveway dry out too fast once and it spiderwebbed everywhere. Now I keep it soaked under plastic for at least five days. The difference in how hard and smooth it sets up is night and day. It’s a bit more work but you get a way better finish that lasts.

emeryo58's driveway story shows how rushing usually leads to worse results. It's like a lot of things where doing it right the first time pays off later.

Wait you keep it soaked for five whole days? @emeryo58 that's wild lol, but I guess that's what "doing it right" really means.

My garage floor taught me the same lesson. I wet cured it for six days with burlap and a sprinkler, and it still looks perfect five years later. That extra patience really locks in the strength.
