Vent: My power trowel's gearbox seized up on a 4000 sq ft slab pour last Thursday.
Some guys say to just replace the whole unit, but I managed to swap the gears in the field with a kit, so what's your move when a key tool fails mid-pour?

It's always the same, from tools to relationships, a quick fix beats a full replacement most days.

But what if the quick fix just hides a bigger problem?

Nice save with the field fix... @alex820 is onto something with that quick fix idea. A backup gear kit is cheaper than a whole new trowel for sure.
