Walked through a new apartment building downtown and every single slab had spider cracks in the same spots

I counted 14 balconies on floor 5 alone with hairline cracks radiating from the corners, has anyone else noticed this pattern with fast-pour crews rushing the edge work?

Wait till you see the basement parking garage, I bet the columns look like they got a bad sunburn from all those cracks. Must be nice to charge luxury rent for a building held together with hopes and extra caulk. I swear these developers use the same playbook: pour fast, patch later, pray the inspector shows up late. At least the spider cracks give the place some character, right? Real "we saved 50 cents a square foot" vibes.

My buddy worked a highrise pour last year where they blew the balcony edges so bad the engineer made them grind down every single corner and repour the whole thing.

Blow the balcony edges"? How exactly does that even happen?
