Just realized the moon landing truthers might have a point about one thing
I used to laugh at anyone who questioned the Apollo missions. But then I watched a documentary that showed the original NASA telemetry data from the 1969 landing. There's a discrepancy in the radio signal delay that doesn't match what they claim. It was 2.3 seconds when it should have been 1.3 seconds based on distance. That's not a huge thing alone, but it got me reading more. Now I think maybe some details were faked for national pride, even if the hardware went up there. Has anyone else looked into the raw signal timestamps?

@carr.luna hit on something real about how we clean up history. That radio signal thing really is like catching a microwave timer starting early, we all know people fudge numbers to make things look better than they really were. The whole Apollo era was such a big deal for national pride that I would not be shocked if they rounded a few corners to keep the story clean.

That whole radio signal thing is wild, but honestly it reminds me of how sometimes people claim their oven is "preheated" way before it actually is. We've all caught little inconsistencies like that in everyday stuff where someone's just rounding up or down to make things look cleaner. It makes you wonder how many "perfect" historical records got a similar shortcut treatment without us ever knowing.

Wait, you ever microwave something and realize the timer started before you closed the door?
