My flat earth debate at a bar in Tulsa ended with a napkin diagram
Last Saturday I got pulled into a friendly argument with a guy who insists satellites are fake. I tried explaining horizon curve math for 20 minutes and finally drew a circle on a napkin to show how we see ships disappear hull first. He flipped the napkin over and drew a dome over it, called me a sheep. The bartender laughed and gave us both free shots. I still think he was messing with me, but honestly I couldnt tell. Has anyone else tried to debate this stuff in public and just walked away more confused than when they started?
Had the same thing happen at a cookout last summer. Guy swore the moon landing was shot in a basement. I just asked him one simple question, how come the shadow of the flag goes one way and the shadows of the guys go another. He went quiet for a sec then changed the subject to bigfoot. Best move is to ask them to explain something small and specific and let them talk themselves into a corner. You cant win with facts when they already decided you're the sheep.
