Arbitration clauses in contracts: my big flip after getting burned

I always put arbitration in my agreements to skip the court hassle. Then I had a case where the ruling felt totally off and there was no way to appeal. Some folks say it's still the best for speed, but I think it can be too risky. How do you all deal with this clause in your papers?

Arbitration awards can be appealed for fraud or bias.

Totally agree, had a company try that bias appeal trick on me once. Felt like they made the rules just to win.

Notice how often we trade control for convenience, like with arbitration clauses. Even with @aaronw59's point about appeals, it feels like closing the barn door after the horse bolts.
