I could not decide between a corded worm drive and a battery circular saw, and the lumber yard guy made the call for me
Last Saturday I stood in the aisle at the yard in Tacoma for 20 minutes holding a corded worm drive in one hand and a battery saw in the other, going back and forth like an idiot. A guy in a paint stained hoodie walked by and said "you framing all day or just trimming out a shed?" I said mostly decks and fences, so he told me to grab the corded one for $40 less and save the battery money for a second blade. He was right, the thing chewed through wet 2x6s like nothing and never once made me hunt for a charger. Only downside is dragging 100 feet of cord around, so now I am wondering if I should still grab a small battery saw for punch out work?
