Just found out my drill driver hits way harder at 40% battery

Was reading the manual for my Makita 18v while waiting on a job and saw a chart showing max torque actually drops after the battery dips below half. I tested it on a 6 inch lag screw into a treated 4x4 at 100% vs 40% and the difference was huge - like 30% less grunt on the low batt. Anyone else notice their tools act different as the battery drains? Kinda changes how I plan out heavy driving jobs.

Noticed the same thing with my DeWalt impact driver. It's like a totally different tool once that battery drops below half.

Yup, they really lose their grunt fast once the battery dips below half.

My DeWalt does the exact same thing (and it's only 6 months old).
