Rant: My favorite caulking gun seized mid-job on a kitchen backsplash yesterday
I was halfway through a bead on a granite backsplash in a $500k remodel when the rod just locked up solid, and after wrestling it for 20 minutes I finally tossed it and finished with a cheap squeeze tube from my truck, so who's got a brand that actually won't do that on you?

Honestly, Tajima makes solid stuff." Yeah, I'll give them that for chalk reels, but for caulking guns? Not so much. I've used their caulking gun and it seized on me too, same exact thing happening mid-bead. The rod binding up is a known problem with their cheaper models, especially if you're using heavier stuff like silicone. You're better off sticking with a brand that actually builds guns for pros, like Cox or even a decent Albion. The Tajima chalk reel might last forever, but their caulk gun just doesn't have the same engineering behind it.

Honestly, Tajima makes solid stuff. Ngl, my buddy had one of their chalk reels for like a decade until he accidentally dropped it off a roof.
