Client used my logo on 40 shirts after I refunded his deposit, and PayPal sided with him
Back in March I did a logo for a small gym in Tacoma, $350 flat. He paid half, then said the colors were off and demanded the deposit back, so I refunded it to keep things calm and never sent him the final files. Fast forward to a week ago, a buddy sends me a photo from their grand opening, and my exact logo is on 40 shirts, a banner, and the front window. I filed a claim with PayPal, and they closed it in his favor because there was no written contract, just a text thread. Does anyone here have a simple one page agreement they use that actually holds up when it's just two people and a Venmo payment?
