Copy shop near me offered free "copyright checks" for my logo, and it was real paperwork
I figured the $0 logo copyright review at a print shop in Denver was just bait to upsell me on business cards. Turns out the owner walked me through filing with the US Copyright Office and even showed the receipt from a client whose logo got lifted by a dropshipper. Has anyone else had a print shop do actual legal legwork like that?

Sounds like the owner was showing you somebody else's receipt, not actually filing for you.
