Just hit 500 blow-dries in my chair this week without even tracking it.

I was looking at my appointment log for the last 6 months and counted up 500 blow-dries I've done. That's way more than I thought I was doing, especially since I mostly do color work. Has anyone else noticed a surprising number from their day-to-day work?

Started counting my blow-dries one month and got distracted halfway through because a client showed up with this wild story about her cat learning to flush the toilet. @victor651 you're not wrong about the arm thing though, my left shoulder has been giving me attitude for weeks now. 500 sounds like a lot but honestly when you're doing color corrections that take 4 hours each, the blow-dry part starts to feel like the easy part. I just started tracking mine with little tally marks on my mirror with a dry erase marker, helps me pretend I'm keeping score in a video game or something. Take this with a grain of salt but sometimes I think we do way more of the little stuff than we give ourselves credit for.

Is keeping tally marks really gonna change anything though?

Damn, you actually counted them? That sounds like homework but way more painful. I bet your arms feel like they're gonna fall off by the end of the week. I'm over here struggling to get through 5 brush-outs without needing a nap, so 500 is basically superhero status. You probably have biceps of steel and I'm just impressed you're still standing.
