Vent: lost 3 bookings in one day because my color client showed up 40 minutes late with a photo of someone else's hair
I had a full Saturday lineup at the salon in Phoenix and the 9am foils ran so long I had to shuffle everyone back, so two regulars walked and a bride canceled her trial. Do you reschedule the late one or just eat the loss and block them from ever booking a prime slot again?

Forty minutes is late, sure, but you said yourself the foils ran long and you were already shuffling everyone back before she even sat down. That tells me your 9am slot was doomed no matter who walked through the door, and she just happened to be the one holding the bag. Brides cancel trials all the time over weather, nerves, a friend's opinion, so pinning that on one client feels like reaching. And a photo of someone else's hair? Half my clients bring inspo pics that don't match their face or their texture at all, that's just part of the job, you look at it and say ok here's what we can really do. Blocking a paying regular from prime slots over one bad morning seems like a good way to lose her and everyone she talks to in Phoenix. If she's a repeat offender, fine, different story, but one time? Reschedule her, take a deposit next time, and tighten up that 9am booking so it can't wreck your whole Saturday again.
