Finally found a solid group of freelancers after trying for months

I moved to Asheville last year and spent months just working from coffee shops, feeling pretty isolated. Last week, I finally joined a weekly meetup at a local coworking spot and met three other designers. Has anyone else had luck with a specific weekly event in their city?

Totally, finding your group makes all the difference. A hiking meetup was my version of that, just a bunch of folks who got it right away.
