Wait, you really think steel core is better for swing control? I've seen the exact opposite on my jobs. That steel core doesn't have any give, so when you're trying to feather a load in close it can jerk. Nylon has that little bit of stretch that smooths everything out, especially in a breeze. I'd take the forgiveness of nylon over a stiff steel line any day.

Nancyramirez has a point about the jerk on steel core. I learned that the hard way trying to set a beam last summer and nearly put it through a window. Sometimes that little bit of stretch in nylon just saves you from yourself.
