Hit exactly 750 on my credit score and nothing changed... or so I thought
I've been chipping away at my credit for like 4 years, paying down cards and never missing a payment. Last month I finally saw 750 pop up on Credit Karma, and I figured I'd get some special treatment or something. But nope, it was just quiet. Then my car insurance renewal came in and the rate had dropped by like 30 bucks a month because of my tier. That's when it clicked for me. Has anyone else hit a number and not noticed until something random happened?

Must be nice, my insurance went up five bucks after my score hit 750.

My buddy Dave kept bragging about his credit hitting 720 and getting pre-approved offers left and right. Meanwhile I sat at 680 for a year and got nothing. Then out of nowhere my credit card company bumped my limit from 3k to 8k without me asking. Found out later they do a soft pull every few months and if you're above 700 they just hand out increases like candy. Never saw an email about it, just noticed when I logged in to pay my bill.
