Finally found that phantom coolant leak on a 6.7 Powerstroke after three days of looking.
It was a hairline crack in the plastic coolant outlet housing, right under the turbo pedestal. Could only see it with a mirror and a bright light when the engine was hot and pressurized. Felt like a huge win after pulling my hair out. Anyone got a trick for spotting those without tearing half the engine bay apart first?

No kidding! That's the kind of clever fix I love. It feels like we're all just MacGyvering our way through life now. My neighbor used a cheap drone to check his roof gutters instead of paying for a guy with a ladder. The simple tech is getting so good for these random little problems.

My uncle tried the drone trick last year and ended up buying a new drone after it got stuck in a tree. These cheap fixes often just create a second problem you have to pay to solve. Hiring a pro with a ladder might cost a bit, but they get it done right the first time without the tech headaches. We're not MacGyvering, we're just avoiding the real solution because new gadgets feel clever. Sometimes the old way is the better way.
