Had to pick between an OEM injector and a reman one today

Went with the reman to save $400 on this 6.7 Powerstroke job. Now it's got a slight knock at idle and I'm wondering if I screwed up. Anyone else take the cheap route and regret it?

Hold up, wait, you're saying you actually heard a knock right after swapping it in? Like right away, not even a few hundred miles down the road? Man, that would have me second-guessing everything too. I always figure reman stuff is a gamble but hearing it knock instantly is a whole new level of scary to me.

...and that's exactly why I'll never buy a lawnmower from a big box store again. My neighbor did the same thing with a reman starter on his old Cummins. That thing sounded like a bag of rocks for about three weeks then just gave up completely one morning. I get wanting to save the cash, believe me I do, but sometimes the cheaper part just has a way of letting you know it's not happy. Hope yours settles in or at least doesn't leave you stranded.

Man, I swear it's like that old saying "buy once, cry once" but my wallet always convinces me to cry twice. That slight knock is gonna haunt you every time you drive it now.
