Okay, I need to say this about drawing on an iPad vs a Wacom tablet

Honestly, everyone says the iPad Pro is the best for digital art now, but after using both for a year, my old Wacom Cintiq 16 is way better for actual work. The screen texture and pen pressure on the Cintiq just feel more like real drawing, while the iPad glass is too slick. Anyone else tried both and stuck with a dedicated tablet?

So you actually prefer the Wacom for real drawing? I always figured the iPad was the obvious upgrade, but that point about the glass being too slick hits home. I tried to get used to it, but my lines never felt as sure. The_hayden is onto something about tech going for slick over useful. The Cintiq just has that slight grit that makes it feel like a tool, not a toy. I guess I was wrong to write off the older gear.

Yeah that's how it is with a lot of tech now, slick over useful.

Used to think it was just me being picky but you're totally right.
