Rant: My town's new digital mural is getting way too much hate online.
It's way better in person at night.

Yeah it being "better in person at night" is the whole point. People are judging it from compressed pics on their phone screens, which totally wrecks the colors and scale. Digital art is meant for a specific place and light, not a tiny jpeg.

Seriously? It's just some lights on a wall, not a big deal. Most people will only ever see the jpeg version online anyway, so that's what they're gonna judge. Getting worked up over it seems like a waste of energy lol.

Ever wonder why we let the loudest online voices define something made for a local space? If the mural works for the people who actually walk by it at night, doesn't that matter more than some bad phone pictures? It just feels like we're mixing up what's real with what gets clicks.
