My 'reliable' coworking space in Chiang Mai cut the power for 8 hours with zero notice
Last Thursday, I was in the middle of a video call with a client when everything went dark. The staff just shrugged and said the building needed maintenance until 6 PM. No email, no sign on the door, nothing. I lost a full day's work and had to scramble to find a cafe with stable wifi, which cost me another $15 in overpriced coffee. This is the third time in two months something like this has happened at a place that charges $200 a month. How do you vet a coworking spot for actual reliability before you commit?

How do you check their backup generator policy first?

Yeah, checking the backup generator policy is smart. I'd just call the front desk and ask directly how often they test it and what areas it actually covers.

Guess waderamirez has never been stuck in a dark elevator.
