The coworking desk I booked vanished when I arrived in Lisbon
I booked a hot desk for 3 weeks at a place near Cais do Sodre, showed up Monday morning, and they said my reservation never went through because their site had a glitch. I ended up working from a pastelaria for two days, paying 4 euros per espresso just to use the wifi. Has anyone else had a booking fall through at the last minute, and did you push for a refund or just move on?

Ugh, that is so frustrating! My buddy had almost the exact same thing happen in Barcelona last year, booked a desk for two weeks through some app, showed up and the place had literally closed down without telling anyone. He ended up camping out in a Starbucks near Placa Catalunya for three days before he found a new spot, and the original place just ignored his emails about a refund. He gave up in the end, said it wasn't worth the headache, but I would have been way more annoyed about those espresso prices honestly.
