Tried a 30-day slow travel pace in Lisbon, my wallet actually got lighter
I always thought slower meant cheaper, staying a month in one Airbnb instead of hopping hostels. But at $1,400 for the month in Lisbon plus eating out more since I had a kitchen I never used, I spent more than my usual 2-week sprint through Eastern Europe. Anyone else find that long stays make you lazy about budgets, or is it just me?
Did you actually track what the $1,400 covered versus your usual 2-week trips, or is that number just rent plus whatever you spent on food? Curious if the daily rate really came out higher once you break it down.
