My neighbor's barn door track got a second life in my workshop
Last month I tore down an old shed behind my place in Spokane and salvaged the sliding door hardware. That barn door track was heavy, but after a good wire brushing and some grease, it hung perfectly over my workbench. I bolted it into the ceiling joists and now my circular saw hangs from a rolling chain trolley I rigged up for about $15 in fittings. It beats the pegboard system I fought with for years, and the saw slides right to where I need it. The track was rated for a 200 pound door, so it handles the saw fine. Has anyone else repurposed old gate or barn hardware for their shop setup? I am curious if the roller bearings wear out faster under constant movement.

Come on, roller bearings wearing out? It's a saw, not a daily driver.
