I spent $400 on a 'pro' paint sprayer for my kitchen cabinets and it was a total waste.
Everyone online says to get a sprayer for a smooth finish, so I bought a mid-range one. The setup and cleanup took forever, I got overspray EVERYWHERE in my garage, and the finish was actually worse than when I rolled my last project. For a small job like this, a good brush and roller is way faster and cheaper. Has anyone else had a sprayer turn into a huge hassle for a simple room?

Four hundred dollars? That's a crazy amount to spend just for kitchen cabinets. The cleanup alone sounds like a nightmare, I'd be so mad. Sprayers seem like such a trap for regular people doing small jobs. My neighbor had overspray on his car, it was a whole thing.

What paint did you use with it?

I used Behr Marquee in the color "Polar Bear." It's a pure white with no yellow undertones. Two coats covered my dark paneling completely. The matte finish hides wall flaws really well.
