Vent: A contractor in Denver told me my shop drawings were 'too perfect' to be useful.
He was reviewing a steel connection detail I'd spent two days on, and he said, 'This looks great on paper, but my crew needs to see the actual bolt access, not just the perfect geometry.' It happened right on the jobsite last Tuesday. Has anyone else had a client push back on drawings for being too detailed or clean?

Ugh, that's so real. Sometimes a messy sketch with notes is way clearer for the guys actually building it.

Totally get what you mean, @hannahj49. It's like how the best cooking recipes are just scribbles on a stained notecard... the messy stuff just works better sometimes.

Yeah @jana509, the good stuff's always a little broken in.
