inShoutout to the Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas
Depends on the season honestly, I counted seven on my last trip but some were barely a trickle. Never changed shoes, just wore trail runners that dry fast. The deepest one only came up to my knees in late spring. Going barefoot or switching shoes seems like more trouble than it's worth to me.

inUnpopular opinion: I think we should stop topping those big oaks in the city park
Man, I learned the hard way that topping is a bad idea. I tried it on a maple in my own yard years ago, trying to save a buck. Ended up with a mess of suckers and a tree that looked like it got a bad haircut, lol. The thing started to rot where I made the big cuts. Had to pay someone way more to take the whole thing down later. Proper reduction is slower, but it's like getting a good surgeon instead of someone with a chainsaw and a guess.

inUpdate: Found a vintage stationery store in Asheville with a whole wall of old bullet journal spreads.
Man, that's a cool find. I used to get caught up making my weekly spreads look perfect, like it was some kind of art project. Seeing those old logs, just plain notes in a grid, really hit me. It shows the whole point is just to get your thoughts down, not to make something pretty for Instagram. I've totally switched to a much simpler style now.

inI used to think you had to answer every single question on these forums.
Honestly, the real turning point was seeing how many repeat questions get asked. You can't personally solve every problem because half of them are already solved in old threads. It feels freeing to just point someone to the search bar sometimes, or that FAQ link. Saves your energy for the weird, specific stuff that actually needs a fresh answer.

inI keep seeing people set posts in concrete without checking for frost lines.
But what if the frost line is already deeper than code?
