Just realized I've hung over 10,000 sheets of drywall in my career
I was cleaning out my truck yesterday and found an old notebook where I used to tally each sheet. Did the math and it came out to just over 10k. That's a whole lot of lifting, cutting, and screwing. It hit me how much muscle memory I've built up from doing the same moves for 15 years. My back definitely knows the number too. Anyone else ever stop and figure out their lifetime sheet count?

Read somewhere it literally reshapes your skeleton.

That's a wild number to see on paper. My uncle was a drywaller and his hands were permanently curled like he was still holding a screw gun.

Yeah, that's the trade-off for those paychecks... permanent claw hands. Bet he could still grab a beer bottle just fine though. Makes you wonder what weird shape we're all getting bent into at our jobs. Office folks probably end up with a permanent mouse hunch.
