I finally got a call back on a job I bid three months ago, but the specs changed completely

They wanted to switch from EMT to MC cable for the whole office fit-out, which would have cut my labor estimate in half. The project manager said 'we need to value engineer this,' but it felt like a bait and switch. How do you guys handle a major scope change on a bid you thought was dead?

Classic move, had a client pull that same thing last year.

That client still owes me fifty bucks.

Had a guy ghost me over a hundred. Sent a final invoice marked "FINAL NOTICE" with a due date. Got paid three days later. The formality of it made it real for him.
