It's funny how often the fix for a big, annoying problem is one small, specific part. You see it with cars making a weird noise from one belt, or a computer overheating from a single dusty fan. We chase the whole system, but the answer is usually just one worn-out piece doing all the damage...

@chen.charles, flickering might just need a cable reseat.

Man, that reminds me of an old TV I fixed where the caps near the inverter were totally bulging. Got that thing running for years after.
