All those guys saying roller guides are better than slide guides? Took me 4 years to see it.

I was at a job site in Columbus Ohio last month where an old Otis lift was getting a full guide replacement. Customer wanted rollers. I argued for slide guides because that's what I grew up with on these older cars. The senior lead there finally had me ride the car with him after the swap. Could not believe how quiet it was on the ride up. Floor leveling was spot on too. Has anyone else switched over and noticed a difference in ride comfort on older cars?

Is it too late to switch teams after 15 years of swearing slides were the only way?

lol @oliver_baker49 it's never too late but you have to ask yourself why now after 15 years. slides have been put through the wringer in all types of conditions and they didn't fail you for a decade and a half. sounds more like you saw one guy on youtube wearing something different and suddenly your whole life is a lie. idk maybe just stick with what works because switching now might mess up your whole system. 15 years of muscle memory is nothing to shrug off over a trend.
