Door lock contact timing drove me nuts on a 2012 Otis

I spent a whole Saturday in Cincinnati chasing a intermittent fault on a 2012 Otis. The door lock contacts kept reading fine on the voltmeter, but the car would still stop between floors. Turns out the gap was off by barely 3/16 of an inch, enough to bounce under load. Are you guys setting these with a feeler gauge every time, or just trusting the switch click?

Ha! Feeler gauges are for engines, man. I just listen for the click and pray.

Man, I feel your pain on this one... spent a whole day on an elevator in Nashville doing the exact same dance, voltmeter said everything was fine but the car kept acting up. @adam186, I wish I could just trust the click, but after that day I always bust out the feeler gauge now, even if it takes an extra ten minutes. That tiny gap is the difference between a smooth week and getting called back on a Sunday.
