Standing in a half finished kitchen back in March, this guy pulls up a video of himself on a roof saying hey, invoice number 412 is 60 days out, hope your wife's surgery went okay. He said he films one short clip every Friday, sends it straight to whoever owes him, and gets paid within 48 hours almost every time. Does anyone here actually do the video nudge thing, or does it just make you look desperate?

Adding a personal touch like asking about his wife's surgery is genius because it flips the whole thing from a cold reminder into a human moment. Most people avoid paying bills they can ignore, but nobody wants to stiff the guy who remembered their wife was in the hospital. Feels less like nagging and more like checking in, which is probably why it works so fast.
