Rant: a guy in Tampa owed me $1,100 and his LinkedIn update got him to pay in 2 days
Finished a logo and web banner set back in March for a small gym owner down in Tampa, $1,100 flat, and he just stopped answering texts after delivery. I tried the nice emails, then a firm one, then nothing for five weeks. On a whim I checked his LinkedIn and saw he'd just posted about "growing my business family" and tagged three local partners. So I commented on that post, super polite, just asking when I could expect the invoice to clear since the work was live on his site. He deleted the comment in an hour and paid me through Zelle the next morning. Has anyone else gone the public route and had it backfire, or is that the move now?

That "growing my business family" line is the part that got him, since tagging those partners made the post his reputation now, not just yours. Leave it too long and he's stuck with a comment sitting there for every new partner to see, so he has to kill it fast and pay up.
