Unpopular opinion: sending a paper invoice in the mail got me paid faster than any app
Had a shop in Fresno owe me $1,850 for six weeks while my emails and invoice app reminders just sat there ignored, so out of spite I printed the bill, dropped it in the mail, and wrote "second notice" on the envelope in red pen. The check showed up five days later with a sticky note saying "sorry, it got buried on the desk." So is my whole problem just that digital invoices are too easy to ignore, or did I get lucky with one old school office manager?
Physical mail forces them to deal with it because you can't just swipe it away like an email. An envelope sitting on the desk with red pen on it is way harder to ignore than a notification they can clear in half a second.
